Egyptian megastar Nabila Ebeid has charged the producer of her latest movie Imra’a That Al Muraqaba (Woman Under Surveillance) with the movie’s box office failure, reported Al Bayan newspaper.
The actress stated that producer Safwat Ghattas limited the amount of necessary promotions for the film, which she considers one of her most important works.
Meanwhile, the actress also said that she will not be working with any other producer in the next period of her career, unless she obtains a set contract with stated preconditions.
Ebeid charged that the movie’s failure came about in light of a conspiracy to ruin the actresses shining career and stop her from taking on films with controversial issues; especially since her latest movie addresses bank theft through loans in Egypt.
She added that she now regrets taking Safwat’s word of honor seriously.
“I thought the movie was in safe hands, and I traveled abroad. I was shocked that when I came back, I discovered that my movie was not given its rightful promotional efforts,” Ebeid said.
Ebeid has tried all ways of rejuvenating the film’s flailing debut; but to no avail – Albawaba.com.
