Najla Al Awadhi speaks at Global Action Forum in New York
Najla Al Awadhi, Member of the UAE Federal National Council, Deputy CEO of Dubai Media Inc, and Director General of Dubai One TV, UAE, participated in a panel discussion at the second annual Young Arab Leaders’ Global Action Forum in New York.
The discussion, titled ‘Through the Eyes of the Media – Promoting Mutual Respect for Cultures’, focused on the unprecedented growth of the media in the Arab world and the US.
Al Awadhi said: “The UAE fully supports freedom of speech, something that we, as a leading media organization, experience and cherish. It is also important to note that with freedom comes responsibility. It is our duty, as media representatives of an emerging country, to preserve and safeguard the achievements we have realized over the past three decades.”
