Following the previous successful sponsorships for this international event, National Arab Motors Kia-Jordan announced that the registration for the Kia Amateur Australian Open qualifications in cooperation with the Tennis Federation of Jordan, has began at Kia’s showroom in Mecca Street, the Royal Automobile Club of Jordan and the Tennis Federation of Jordan.
The tournament will be launched at the Royal Automobile Club of Jordan from October 22th to 24th 2009, tennis players of different ages, males and females, can participate in this tournament, they will get the opportunity to compete and participate in the KIA Amateur Australian Open finals during the Australian Open that will be held in Melbourne, Australia, in addition to attending the finals of the Australian Open.
Mr. Nihad Zachria, the Vice Chairman of the National Arab Motors KIA-Jordan said “Our goal in supporting the participating Jordanian players for the third consecutive year is to give them the opportunity to compete and benefit from international level competitions. Kia-Jordan always aim to encourage youth and support their passions.
It is worth mentioning, that Tareq Talal and Ann Hatamleh participated in last year 2008 Kia Amateur Australian Open world final, Ahmad Tbeishat and Sarah Faddah in 2007 after they participated in the qualifications which were held in Amman and organized by the National Arab Motors.
Kia Motors is the major official sponsor of the Australian Open until the year (2013) ,and currently sponsors Rafeal Nadal as their global ambassador in the tennis world.
