The global demand for natural and organic beauty products has been rapidly increasing, a trend also reflected in the Middle East’s beauty and cosmetics market in recent years.
Natural and organic personal care products are expected to be one of the key areas of interest at Beautyworld Middle East 2010, the region’s definitive trade show for beauty and cosmetics, which will be held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre from June 1st to 3rd.
“Consumers are becoming increasingly aware of the benefits of using natural and organic products,” said Mr Ahmed Pauwels, Chief Executive Officer, Epoc Messe Frankfurt, organisers of Beautyworld Middle East. “As consumer awareness over product ingredients increases so too does the search for easier and more natural beauty solutions.”
It is estimated that one in three consumers in US and Europe prefer natural or organic products, showing that interest in this sector is high with continued growth expected.
Ms Elaine O’Connell, Senior Show Manager, Beautyworld Middle East said: “There has definitely been a surge in the demand for natural and organic beauty products worldwide. We have also seen this trend in the Middle East region in recent years. We are expecting natural and organic products and services to be one of the key interest areas at this year’s edition of Beautyworld Middle East.”
Natural and organic cosmetics, beauty products, wellness and spa treatments and haircare products will be on display at Beautyworld Middle East 2010, which has been the premier event of its kind for the beauty and cosmetics industries in the Middle East for 14 years.
This year’s event will cover 24,184 square metres of exhibition space featuring over 700 exhibitors and is expected to attract in excess of 15,000 trade visitors from the region and beyond. Beautyworld Middle East has grown in stature as the key networking and sourcing platform for the beauty and cosmetics industries, having attracted industry leaders, retailers, wholesalers, manufacturers and professionals from over 92 countries in 2009.
As well as products and services covering the entire spectrum of beauty and cosmetics, the 2010 edition will also feature a series of workshops incorporating a nail competition called Nail IT! By OPI; the Walk of Beauty – a hair and beauty show featuring the region’s leading hair stylists and makeup artists, presented by Madi International in association with The Hair Group and its subsidiaries Salon Educators and myhairdressers.com and the Beauty Theatre – a dedicated area for seminars and workshops.
