UAE number one bank, the National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) awarded AED 2m to the UAE national football team for winning the 18th Gulf Cup. The announcement was made during a reception held for the UAE players at NBAD’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi.
Congratulating the players for their great effort, which resulted in the UAE team’s first major win in 35 years, NBAD divided the donated amount equally amongst the 26 team members. Each player will benefit from the bank’s latest products, “NBAD Winner Deposit Account” and “NBAD 3 Year 100% Capital Guaranteed UAE Fund”.
On this exclusive occasion, Mr. Saif Ali Munakhas Al Shehhi, General Manager Domestic at NBAD said: “We are very proud of our national team’s great achievement and we are confident in their professionalism and capabilities. With “NBAD Winner Deposit Account”, each player will have the chance to automatically enter a draw to win a monthly AED 500,000 prize. Furthermore, every additional deposit, in multiples of AED10,000 gives the player an extra entry in to the draw and increases the chances of winning.
As for the Capital Guaranteed UAE Fund, NBAD not only offers 3 years 100% principal protection at maturity, but also provides the potential for unlimited capital gains exposure to the performance of the UAE equity markets.
