NBK‘s Assistant Segment Manager, Dima Nusaibah said: “The Job Shadow Day helped students better understand the importance of their studies and how it relates to the banking world. NBK has always been at the forefront of CSR activities. We have been regularly involved with students and the youth and have had training programs all throughout summer holidays where we introduce to them the day-to-day working of the bank, the challenges and the responsibilities”.
Over 50 students from GUST University participated in this event. The students were introduced to different areas of the banking industry which in turn is aimed at helping them in defining their career path as well as identifying new opportunities.
The sessions focused on Operations, E-business, Public Relations, Cards division and Human Resources and other areas of the bank. Each session focused on the importance of these divisions and highlighted the key role played by these departments in servicing clients.
CSR activities are an integral part of NBK’s work culture. Every year NBK dedicates a significant amount from its net profit to all its CSR activities. Such as working towards environment awareness, helping the underprivileged, and integrating students/youth in the workforce of the bank. NBK will continue to contribute significantly towards building a better society.
