NCB Capital, Saudi Arabia's largest investment bank, has published its second annual Saudi Factbook, the market's most comprehensive analysis of the Saudi capital markets, its economy and all 142 stocks in the TASI (Tadawul All Shares Index). It also details each of the 15 sectors comprising the sector indices in the market.
The report once again highlights the attractiveness of the Saudi market for local and international investors and sets out an optimistic outlook for the Kingdom.
Eiji Aono, Head of Equity Research at NCB Capital, said, "The new Factbook is being published against a backdrop of what has been a testing time for the markets. However, Saudi Arabia's positive GDP growth highlights the strength of its economy. We believe this updated Factbook is an invaluable aid for the investment community in understanding the strengths of the Saudi market and the positioning of various companies and sectors against local and global demand drivers."
Uncertainty regarding the pace and sustainability of the global recovery is still apparent, and with this uncertainty, market volatility has continued. Most markets both regionally and globally are down heavily so far in 2010, however the TASI is one of the best performing globally at near flat for the year (to mid-year 2010). The sector and individual company trends underpinning this are detailed in the updated report.
NCB Capital Equity Research has significantly expanded its stock coverage over the past year to 21 companies and has quickly positioned itself as the leading research team covering the Saudi market.
