Some 281 people injured in last week's post-election clashes in Ivory Coast began receiving their first medical treatment, three days after the violence ended, doctors said Sunday.
The wounded, mostly suffering from gunshot wounds, were being treated at the home of politician Alassane Ouattara because they were afraid if they went to a hospital they would be handed over to police or militant supporters of rival political leaders, witnesses said – ABIDJAN (AFP)
