Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday said he was ready to meet immediately with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to make progress in the peace process. "There is no reason that Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas and I should not meet immediately, anywhere in this country, in order to advance the political process," Netanyahu said during the weekly cabinet meeting.
"I call on the Palestinian and Arab countries' leaders, let's meet. Let's cooperate. We can bring many investors," added the Israeli leader.
The Palestinians have claimed they would not resume talks unless Netanyahu cabinet halts all settlement construction activities in the occupied West Bank.
