ALBAWABA- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reaffirmed his vision for reshaping the Middle East, stating, “A year ago, I said we would change the face of the region, and that is exactly what we are doing.”

He expressed support for former U.S. President Donald Trump’s plan to provide Gazans with the option to leave the Strip, emphasizing that Israel is facilitating their departure without financial obstacles.

Netanyahu also credited Trump for aiding Israel’s efforts to free hostages and providing essential military support.

Addressing broader security concerns, Netanyahu reiterated that Israeli forces would remain in the West Bank “as long as necessary” and maintain a presence in southern Syria.

He emphasized Israel’s continued efforts to counter Iran, asserting that preventing Tehran from acquiring nuclear weapons remains a top priority. He also acknowledged the role of pro-Israel lobbying group AIPAC in supporting Israel’s strategic goals.

Meanwhile, Israeli military operations in the occupied West Bank have escalated. Reinforcements have been deployed to Tulkarm, where forces have demolished 26 residential buildings, burned over 100 apartments, and destroyed 300 shops since the start of the offensive.

The ongoing assault has led to the mass displacement of Palestinians. In Tubas, settlers reportedly stabbed a Palestinian with special needs, while in occupied Jerusalem, Israeli forces arrested 11 Palestinians on the pretext of working without permits.

In Gaza, Israeli forces fired gunshots and sound bombs at Palestinians east of Abasan al-Jadida.

Israeli Security Cabinet member Avi Dichter reinforced Netanyahu’s hardline stance, declaring that Israel’s victory depends on the return of hostages and the complete destruction of Hamas.
