The Norwegian ambassador to Lebanon (and also to Syria) transferred 6 new well-equipped ambulances to the Lebanese Red Cross that were paid for by the Norwegian government and the Norwegian Red Cross, a-Safir daily reports.

The transfer ceremony was held in Beirut's Red Cross main center and was attended by the head of the Lebanese Red Cross, George Huruq. Expressing his gratitude, Mr. Huruq praised the Norwegian government's role in this humanitarian initiative. He added that this gift reflects the on-going aid the Norwegian people provide to the Lebanese Red Cross. All participants concluded this celebration in a cocktail party.
