A new Arabic search engine, YaSalaam.com, has been launched by the Kuwaiti-based International Websites in association with the Vaultbase Information Systems from the United States, reported HiTech magazine.
The bilingual Website is offering site owners free registration on its pages. To promote YaSalaam.com, International Websites, in cooperation with its American partner, is also offering businesses in Kuwait and the Arabian Gulf area professional website building and hosting, said the magazine.
"Arabs and Arabic speakers will have a chance to easily find sites that are relevant to their heritage and culture by searching for any topics that are of particular interest to them at www.YaSalaam.com. They will also be able to take advantage of many free services such as personal e-mail accounts," said a statement issued by International Websites.
"The site will also provide content that will be interesting and appropriate for Arabic speaking people from various backgrounds. At the same time, by being a bilingual site, YaSalaam.com will also allow people of other nationalities and cultures to see the beauty and diversity that exists in the Arabic culture," added the statement.
The new site brings the number of Arabic search engines on the Internet to four, said the magazine - Albawaba.com
