The Ministry of Health has established a national committee to fight diabetes and devise prevention and awareness plans, Minister of Health Hamad Abul Rahman Al Midfa disclosed. According to Khaleej Times, Al Midfa stated the ministry had decided to form a 15-member national committee of experts, consultants and medical directors at the ministry and hospitals to carry out studies and surveys in order to provide effective curative plans on diabetes.
The minister stressed that the committee would launch public health awareness campaigns on diabetes and carry out surveys. (Albawaba.com)
