Shaikh Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has published a decree regarding the fees for availing services of public parks in Dubai. According to the new decree, Director-General of Dubai Municipality will be authorised to impose fees for availing services and facilities of public parks, amend fee structure or grant fee exemption in accordance with local orders.
According to Khaleej Times, the director-general, or whoever authorised by him, can enter into a contract with individual, organisation, establishment, or company to use public parks provided the contract falls within specified financial and organisational rules. Additionally, the decree stipulates that director-general of Dubai Municipality will issue necessary decisions and rules to put this decree into force. (Albawaba.com)
