MasterCard International and Punjab National Bank (PNB), one of the leading nationalized banks of India with over 36 million customers and 4500 branches, have announced the introduction of a new joint debit programme – the PNB MasterCard® Debit Card.
The launch of the signature-based debit card with PNB reinforces MasterCard’s commitment to offer its member financial institutions, as well as cardholders, the latest in product innovation.
The PNB MasterCard® Debit Card can be used for all electronic transactions, thereby ensuring high levels of security for the cardholder as well as the merchant. The card can be accepted at over 120,000 merchant establishments as well as 25,000 ATMs across the country, not to mention over 1.1 million ATMs worldwide and MasterCard’s 24 million merchant locations.
