Women are being encouraged as part of a new recruitment drive by Nexus – the region's largest independent insurance and financial network – to take up roles as Independent Financial Advisors, the company announced today.
The recruitment campaign aims to attract more women into the industry in a bid to redress the current situation whereby men dominate the field of financial services. Women are well equipped to fulfil financial advisor roles, which involves working with clients to help them plan for their goals in life, needs for health and general insurance together with planning for retirement, saving for school fees and other personal finance related issues.
"We are targetting females because they have so much to offer the financial services industry. As well as being finically astute, women are good at understanding people's underlying concerns and needs. They are intuitive and are good at building up a rapport with clients, which is essential for providing the best level of service," commented Mahmoud Nodjoumi, CEO and Founder of Nexus.
Nexus are searching for women of all ages and backgrounds to undergo training and become financial consultants – a role that is well suited to women who are married and have children, as they can work flexible hours that fit in with their family commitments.
"Working as an independent financial advisor allows you to control how you work, as you can work as many hours as suits you. This means you can be a valuable, contributing member to your family finances, and still be around for all those wife and mother activities you don't want to miss – you get the best of both worlds," added one of Nexus' female advisors.
