AC Milan's French defender Bruno Ngotty is on his way to French first division club Marseille on a three-year deal, the player confirmed Monday.
Ngotty, 29, told the French sports daily L'Equipe that he would shortly sign the contract.
The former international, who had also been targeted by French side Lyon, said he chose Marseille because they produced a more concrete offer.
"Lyon wanted me eventually, but I wasn't their first choice. I had to wait a couple of days. I didn't want to be left high and dry... I really appreciate that Marseille had confidence in me."
According to L'Equipe the transfer deal is worth 25 million francs ($3.6 million).
Ngotty joined the former European champions AC Milan two years ago but was loaned out to Venezia last season who were eventually relegated finishing third from bottom 13 points adrift, before rejoining Milan - (AFP)
