Nine eighth grade Israeli students were lightly injured Tuesday when the acoustic ceiling at Tel Aviv's Herzliya Gymnasium school's computer classroom collapsed, Haaretz reported.

Five of the children sustained head injuries and were treated at Tel Aviv's Ichilov Hospital, the Israeli paper said, adding that four others received medical attention at the school.

The incident happened in the morning, when 30 teenagers were packed into the classroom for an information technology class.

The press quoted the school's administration as saying that the acoustic ceiling was connected to the concrete ceiling by support beams and that the screws were probably old - Albawaba.com
