The Nissan Z achieved its first win in motorsports this season, 14 months after winning in Sepang in June of last year. The Super GT series reached its 6th round in Suzuka Circuit; in fine weather with a temperature hovering around 30c, the #12 CALSONIC IMPUL Z driven by Benoit Treluyer, Kazuki Hoshino and Jeremie Dufour started from the pole position and dominated it for 6hrs making 173-lap race. MOTUL AUTECH Z #22 driven by Michael Krumm, Richard Lyons and Fabio Carbone finished in 2nd place, giving NISMO team a double podium finish.

The 4 Z teams all finished in the Top 10, garnering 1st, 2nd, 5th and 8th positions respectively.
