Alhamrani United Co., exclusive dealer of Nissan vehicles in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Nissan Middle East announced today their sponsorship of the annual Janadriah festival, celebrating Saudi national heritage and folk culture. The agreement signing comes in collaboration with the Saudi National Guard, representing The Heritage and Culture National Festival (Janadriah).
Nissan will be giving away 10 cars as prizes to the winners of the Camel Races which will be held at the event.
The Janadriah festival celebrates Saudi Arabian history by bringing together several traditional Saudi folklore ranging from camel racing, poetry, art, theater and history.
“Nissan is a fervent advocate of Saudi culture, and getting the opportunity to sponsor Janadriah is a great privilege for us, giving us the opportunity to raise awareness of Saudi heritage and culture” commented Sheikh Ahmad Al Hamrani, Chief Operating Officer of Alhamrani United Co. “Nissan’s heritage in the Kingdom goes back to 1957, when the first Patrol was sold. Since then, we have made it our company’s priority to support the Saudi public and contribute to the Kingdom’s heritage programs.”
The Janadriah festival kicks off on February 14, 2007, until February 28, 2007. Festival timings are from 9 am to 1 pm, and 3 pm to 1 am. February 26 to February 28 will be held exclusively for females.
