Nokia is bringing world-renowned Julio Iglesias to the Dubai Media City Amphitheatre on Thursday, May 19 in his first concert in the Middle East since 1980. Iglesias will thrill fans with his distinctive sensual style and sexy good looks accompanied by a fifteen-member band.

The audience in Dubai will sway and sing along to his most popular love songs, arias and pop favorites. Famous for his sold-out performances, the international superstar has for nearly three decades been synonymous with romantic ballads and a career that has been filled with one record-setting achievement after another.

With a star bearing his name on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Iglesias is a living legend who received the first and only Diamond Record Award ever given to a performer by the Guinness Book of World Records for selling more records in more languages than any other musical artist in history. Iglesias will play a number of songs from his latest album, as well as some of his older classics which he will be performing in Spanish, English and French. His show will also feature spectacular Spanish dance routines and other themed performances.

“Nokia has long been committed to bringing the biggest and best artists to the region. It is a great pleasure for Nokia to bring Julio Iglesias – an artist known as much for being a record breaker as for being a record maker,” said Zsolt Ménesi, senior marketing manager, Nokia Middle East and North Africa. “Julio Iglesias’ music has the unique ability to connect with people of all ages, languages and cultures around the world and is sure to captivate the crowd here in Dubai,” he added.

Iglesias is the latest international singer that Nokia has brought to the region, following such acts as Alicia Keys, Mariah Carey, Craig David and Jamiroquai.

Often referred to as ‘the universal voice’ and the ‘master of the love song’, Iglesias performs concerts in multiple languages around the world, unrivaled, not just in the number of albums sold, but also in the number of lives he has touched.

Music lovers are encouraged to save the date for their live encounter with the world's foremost singer in matters of the heart during his 80-minute open-air concert.
