nokia presents its new mobility enhancements portfolio
Extensive range of Bluetooth headsets and other enhancements launched for improving mobility in the region
As part of the fourth quarter updates, Nokia – the global leader in mobility, today launched a new range of optional mobility enhancements during a demonstration session to the media. The enhancements are aimed at improving and changing the way people communicate, work or play - enabling them to get more out of their Nokia devices or to further enjoy all the functionalities of their Nokia devices. Enhancements include a variety of ranges from Bluetooth headsets, speakers and extra power options for mobile devices.
Bluetooth Headsets
Bluetooth models available include the BH-208, which is a small and classic easy-to-use headset. It can be used with most devices. Call handling can be done from the headset with redial and voice dialing activation.
Other Bluetooth models also announced at the launch were the BH-701. The multi-compatible headset is a lightweight model with an iconic stainless steel design with a ring ear loop designed for an enjoyable audio experience and handsfree functionality in a range of different environments.
The BH-702 headset is a sophisticated take on the Bluetooth headsets with a high quality metal look and chic attitude. It has a slender design with 6 hours of talk time and up to 160 hours of standby time.
Nokia’s BH-503 headset has superb sound quality and intuitive control keys with excellent hi-fi audio quality, with over the ear headphones, stereo audio streaming and player control over Bluetooth as well as built-in embedded high quality DSP for audio coding and decoding, which allows the user to listen to music without missing any calls.
The BH-602 headset has a long operating time and allows talk for up to 11 hours with a standby time up to 300 hours. The headset also has a fast charging option as well as a good audio thanks to the latest digital signal processing technology for noise reduction and echo cancellation.
Nokia’s BH-604 is a Bluetooth stereo headset which has over the ear cup headphones for listening to music and for using a mobile phone. The headset also incorporates music control functionalities including play, pause, and stop, forward, next track, rewind and previous track in addition to hi-fi stereo audio quality.
The timeless high-quality BH-803 is light and small in size with stainless steel details and excellent voice quality. Set in the headset are blue, green and red Led’s for status indication and a multifunction button including answer, end, power on, off, redial, voice dial and audio transfer including touch sensitive volume control.
The BH-902 headset makes it easy to handle calls and pair the device. The multi-pairing option enables the user to quickly switch between two devices; like a PC and mobile device. The stylish headset has a distinctive modern design and is comfortable to wear thanks to the ergonomic in-the-ear earplug. The call control functionalities include answer, end, reject, redial, voice dial (with compatible devices), call stack access, mute, volume adjustment and speed dial number (dialed, missed, received calls).
The Nokia Bluetooth headset BH-903 is an easy to use wireless stereo Bluetooth headset in a black design with silver finishing. It also contains an FM RDS radio. The OLED display indicates the battery power status, charging, Bluetooth pairing, Caller ID (Nokia LCIF, PBAP phones), clock info (Nokia LCIF phones), music track and radio info and unread message indication.
Auto Navigation
he N500 Personal Navigation Device is a full Bluetooth car kit integrated into a personal navigation device, with all the functions of a car kit including phonebook download and DSP for echo cancellation. The auto-navigation has a large 4.3” touch screen display with handsfree and multimedia applications. Other features include spoken turn-by-turn guidance and visual exit numbers and signposts, in addition to call waiting, voice dialing support, media player and video player.
The LD-4W Bluetooth GPS module is especially designed for connecting to a compatible phone with navigation applications. It is a new generation design for GPS modules and operates using Bluetooth, which enhances a phone’s use with position information and contains long stand by and operating time. Functions include automatic power off, automatic power on when connected to a charger, rechargeable battery and fast charging, application enabler, e.g. for Smart2go downloadable maps, and simultaneous access to location information from multiple applications.
FM Transmitter CA-300
Nokia’s new FM transmitter CA-300 enables users to play music stored in a compatible mobile phone or an MP3 player on a car radio. Drawing power from the car’s lighter socket – the compatible phone will be charged when connected. FM frequencies from the device transmit signals to the car’s radio, meaning there is no need for input ports or external music sources. Other features include user interface support, 1m retractable cable (1 m) and pre-select for two FM frequencies for audio transmission.
Speaker Phone HF-3000
The Nokia HF-300 Hands free Speaker Phone allows handsfree communication with excellent audio quality. The battery powered device has an internal speaker and microphone which is easily attached to the vehicle’s sun visor with illuminated keys for use in the dark. Additionally, the speakerphone’s illuminated keys are easy to locate with no unnecessary flashing lights or ring tones. The sleek design in metallic and black makes it a discreet device for inside any car.
Extra Power
Nokia Extra Power DC-8 enables charging of a mobile device battery on the move. The small size of the Extra Power device and streamlined design means it is easy to carry around even while taking a call. Other features include automatic start-up when device is connected, rechargeable and non-rechargeable AA size batteries can be used and the device automatically detects which type of battery is inserted. The rechargeable battery can be charged with standard Nokia chargers (2.0mm interface and 3.5mm interface with CA-44) and two indicator LEDs.
The Power Pack DC-1 is a new kind of power management - a chargeable charger which enables true mobility with the ability to charge two devices at the same time. The key features of the power pack include reserve power for 3 phones (950mAh), 2 charge output cables for charging two compatible devices simultaneously, interoperation with all 2mm Nokia Charger Interface equipped devices, cable management with AC-1 type elastomer cover and recharge with standard Nokia charger. The Power Pack gives enhanced freedom for multimedia heavy users and is well designed for true portability.
Speakers
The MD-6 Mini Music Speakers are a unique product for mobile music with innovative design and unexpected stereo sound quality. The speakers, which come in a pocketable size also have other convenient features with a flipping cover to reveal the speakers and optimize their portability, built-in cable management system for convenient use and carrying, class D amplifier, powerful micro drivers, bass improvement for enhanced sound quality, integrated FM radio antenna and LED indicating on/off status and low battery.
