North Korea threatened on Wednesday to "wipe out" the United States in the event of a new war on the Korean Peninsula. It accused Washington of seeking to provoke another Korean War.
"If the U.S. imperialists start another war, the army and people of Korea will … wipe out the aggressors on the globe once and for all," the official Korean Central News Agency said.
It added that the Korea war was started by the U.S.. "Millions of people were killed cruelly by the U.S. imperialists in the period of the Korean war. The U.S. imperialists butchered more than 120,000 innocent people in Hwanghae Province (then) and over 35 300 patriots and inhabitants in Sinchon County during the temporary strategic retreat," the news agency added.
