ALBAWABA - According to a report by Al Araby Al Jadeed, aid trucks made their way to northern Gaza for the first time in 4 months later on Saturday.

The report further detailed that the aid trucks passed through the Salaheddin-Kuwait roundabout to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) warehouses in southeast Gaza City, under the protection of security personnel and residents of Jabalia.

Mostly containing flour, which is considered a quite valuable item with the blockade northern Gaza suffers, initially a total of 13 trucks were heading to the north, one broke down on the way, while 6 were delivered to central Gaza and the other 6 were delivered to the north.

Since it launched its brutal war on the Gaza Strip, Israel has cut off all water, food, electricity, and medicine aid, off of Gaza leaving the 2.3 million Gazans to face acute malnourishment and catastrophic conditions.

In a post on X, the UNRWA warned of the deteriorating conditions children across the enclave suffer from as the war continues for 160+ days, with no positive signs of a ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas.

Additionally, UNICEF also released a statement warning of the dire situation. "Malnutrition among children is spreading fast and reaching devastating and unprecedented levels in the Gaza Strip due to the wide-reaching impacts of the war and ongoing restrictions on aid delivery".

"An immediate humanitarian ceasefire continues to provide the only chance to save children’s lives and end their suffering." the UNICEF report continued.

"We also need multiple land border crossings that allow aid to be reliably delivered at scale, including to northern Gaza, along with the security assurances and unimpeded passage needed to distribute that aid, without delays or access impediments".

Al-Aqsa Flood operation against Israel

Hamas military group announced on Oct. 7 a military operation called "Al-Aqsa Flood" against Israel which is the biggest offensive in decades.

Palestinian fighters “infiltrated” Israel from the Gaza Strip and captured military bases and took hostages as photos and videos went viral online showing Hamas fighters on vehicles inside Israel and others paragliding into occupation territory.

In response, Israeli armed forces announced targeting Hamas positions inside the Gaza Strip. Thousands were killed, and dozens of thousands of others were injured in the Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip.

The latest statistics by the Ministry of Health in Gaza revealed that the death toll from Israeli brutal pounding on the Gaza Strip since October 7 has soared to 31,645 people, with more than 73,676 injuries.

Since then, approximately 85% of Gazans have been displaced, all of whom are suffering from severe food insecurity, and the healthcare system has collapsed. Hundreds of thousands of people lack shelter, and aid trucks are entering the area at a lower rate than before the conflict began.
