Five people were killed and 50 others were wounded by al-Nusra Front shelling on al-Midan neighborhood in Aleppo city.

The Russian Center for Coordination and Monitoring said in a statement that five people were killed, 50 others injured, and 20 houses were severely damaged in the neighborhood.

The center, based in Hmeimim airbase, clarified that Nusra Front militants bombarded al-Foua town in Idlib, Ard al-Wati and Rasha in Lattakia, military positions in Hama countryside, Marj al-Sultan town in Damascus Countryside, and neighborhoods and houses in al-Menshiyeh area in Daraa city.

The multiple coordinated attacks all took place over the past 24 hours.

Aleppo has faced attacks on two fronts - both militant groups and Russian-backed airstrikes hit the city and surrounding areas frequently. Four days ago, another round of Nusra Front shelling in Aleppo left over 40 civilians dead.
