Oasis International Leasing Company, PJSC has announced a series of key staff appointments, signalling its determination to strengthen the company and achieve more growth and higher profitability.

The new appointees who have taken up their positions recently include Frank Meijer as Senior Technical Director, Spiro Farougias as Marketing Director, Ramin Daneshi as Senior Financial Analyst and Islam Khalifa as Financial Analyst.

Meijer, an aviation industry veteran of 17 years, will manage all technical aspects of aircraft leasing and provide advice and support to the company’s marketing efforts. He has worked with various airline and aviation companies. His management experience spans diverse fields of the aviation industry such as aircraft deliveries, lease negotiations, aircraft procurement and financing, maintenance and engineering contracts negotiations, and airline start-up projects in Singapore and the Middle East. He is a licensed Aircraft Engineer and holds a Professional Diploma in business management from the Open University London.

Farougias, Oasis’ new marketing director, has nine years of industry experience with focus on aircraft leasing and aircraft sales. His responsibilities included business development, worldwide marketing campaign, aircraft acquisitions analyses, lease negotiations, sale and marketing of private and corporate aircraft, supervision of aircraft maintenance and advertising. Farougia studied Aviation Business Administration and subsequently graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a focus on Corporate Finance from the University of Southern California.   

Daneshi has extensive experience in investment and financial analyses of different classes of assets such as equity bond and currency derivatives. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and holds a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics. Daneshi has a diploma in financial engineering and a treasury management certificate from Reuters, the world's largest international multimedia news agency.

Khalifa, who is the newly appointed Oasis financial analyst, was a consultant working with Ernst & Young on mergers and acquisitions, property valuation, financial reports, modelling and forecasting. He has previously worked as a business analyst in Canada. A CFA, Khalifa holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Technology Management from the Ryerson Polytechnic University in Toronto, Canada.

Salem Rashid Al Noaimi, Acting CEO of Oasis, said the company will continue to bolster its leasing and financing business locally and internationally by strengthening its human resources. “These appointments will give Oasis Leasing a key advantage in expanding the company’s business and further diversifying the company’s extensive investment portfolio,” he said.

In April, the company announced the appointment of a maritime investment director.
