Al Aqili Furnishings has announced the Officeland Monthly Open, a pairs-event golf tournament scheduled to be held on the first Friday of every month at the Al Badia Golf Club by InterContinental Dubai Festival City. The inaugural tournament has been scheduled for the 21 May 2010.
"We have had enormous success in our on-going Carpetland Monthly Open and are looking forward for another great tournament with the Officeland Monthly Open. We are also very excited about our association with the Al Badia Golf Club, and look forward to hosting the tournament on its well-designed, beautiful and challenging course," stated Shahriar Khodjasteh, Group Marketing Director, Al Aqili Furnishings LLC.
Inspired by an oasis, the Al Badia Golf Course was designed on an Arabic theme by internationally renowned golf architect Robert Trent Jones II. The layout of the championship course incorporates an array of water features and the unique rivers of sand concept, visually crisp playing surfaces that give golfers the opportunity to recover from an errant shot. The 18-hole, par-72 course provides a challenging round for the seasoned golfer as well as the recreational player.
