Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman, Mohammad-Ali Hosseini, on Sunday denounced US blaming others for its wrong policies in Iraq. "What is going on in Iraq is the result of Washington's wrong policies."
According to IRNA, he told reporters that the US is trying to attribute the consequences of its wrong policies to others. He made the remarks in response to a question on the recent remarks made by the US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. Rice said last week she would press Iraq's Arab neighbours at a meeting on Tuesday in Kuwait to do more to support the Iraqi government and shield it from Iran's influences.
American officials follow the policy of Iranophobia, Hosseini reiterated.
The main problem of the Arab states is occupation and terrorism, he said stressing that all knows who are supporting the terrorist groups in Iraq.
Tehran has always encouraged Arab states to play a more active role inside Iraq and also resume diplomatic relations and open their embassies and support the political process in Iraq, Hosseini said.
