Information Technology (IT) has become vital to Iran’s economic and industrial development, according to a top Iranian business official.
“Iran enjoys competitive status in the field of IT thanks to skilled manpower and the advanced software Iranian experts have initiated,” said Hossein Nassiri, Secretary of the High Council for Iran's Free Trade Zones (IFTZs).
According to the official Iranian news agency (IRNA), Nassiri said that during the course of three five-year economic development plans, skilled Iranian human resources have been trained in the field of information and communications technology (ICT).
“However, a large number of Iranian ICT experts have left the country due to a lack of job opportunities.” – Albawaba.com
