The United Arab Emirates, under the leadership of its President Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, has always abided by the principles of human rights on the grounds of the constitution and national laws in line with the Islamic Sharia, or law.
These comments were made by Ahmed Abdul Rahman Al Jerman, Director of Legal Affairs Department at the Foreign Ministry during a lecture he delivered at the Diplomatic Institute in the Foreign Ministry, according to WAM.
Saif Saeed bin Sa'ed, Foreign Ministry Under Secretary, a number of directors at the ministry and several diplomats took part in the event.
In addition, Al Jerman presented illustrations of the UAE's bright image in various international reports regarding human rights. (Albawaba.com)
