The price of Brent oil climbed sharply to 31.45 dollars on Tuesday after the main parties in the Middle East summit in Sharm el-Sheikh gave up hope of reaching a full accord and worked instead towards a binding statement.

The price of benchmark Brent North Sea crude oil for December delivery rose by 1.8 percent to 31.45 dollars a barrel in early trading from 30.88 dollars a barrel at the close on Monday -- LONDON (AFP)
