The old University of Algeria has awarded a PhD in Humanities and Social Sciences upon the Libyan Leader, Moammar al Kaddafi. According to JANA, the scientific ceremony to award the PhD, and deliver the degree itself, was conducted in a jubilant celebration attended by Algerian President Abdulaziz Bautaflika, several members of the government, senior Algerian officials, and throng of university staff from all Algerian provinces. The award ceremony started by a speech of Prof. Dr. Tahar Hajar President of the University.
