Culture ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Tuesday supported Muscat's bid to become the Arab cultural capital for the year 2006, Emirates official news agency (WAM) reported.
They also approved the formation of a high-level committee to study the problem of translation in GCC countries, the agency added.
The ministers endorsed a number of programs and activities, including the production of a documentary film and a book on the civilization and culture of the Gulf countries, WAM said - Albawaba.com
