Oman Housing Bank signs in as Silver Sponsor at the International Property Exhibition organized by OITE
Being the 3rd consecutive year in action, International Property Exhibition (IPE) to be organized by Oman International Trade & Exhibitions (OITE) at the Oman International Exhibition Centre from 15th to 17th April, 2008, has established its position as the only dedicated property exhibition in the Sultanate and aptly so with it being set up to bring to the forefront developments in Oman’s real estate market.
With the ongoing boom in the regional real estate market and appropriate economic conditions, IPE is set to make leaps and bounds in strengthening the sector. It would be a convergence point for all interested in real estate, including investors, business people etc, to come together and compare options and avenues available in the sector both locally and internationally.
Having a mission statement that talks of supporting the structural movement in the country according to the requirements of the citizens within the framework of the provision of developmental plans laid down by the government for the housing sector, Oman Housing Bank comes to the fore as a silver sponsor at this event in order to further the local development in the realty sector.
“OHB is one of the most significant developmental pillars established by the government with an aim to contribute to the development and progress of the structural renaissance for providing healthy houses for the citizen for good living in the light of a clear vision that the housing is the basic pier and backbone for all other developmental factors”, says Mr. Adnan Bin Haider Darwish, General Manager, Oman Housing Bank.
Adnan also elaborates on the housing loans provided by the bank that are categorized in two classifications, one is the “the subsidized loan” which enjoys a government subsidiary as far as the interest rate is concerned and the second one is the “the commercial loan” or the “the unsubsidized loan” where the interest rate is fully paid by the customer. Interested public can visit the Oman Housing Bank stall at the International Property Exhibition.
“Being a developing economy, a show like this would be just the apt avenue to bring to the fore important and necessary developments that would contribute to the overall growth of the country. The IPE would cater to people from all walks of life, from business men to investors to ordinary people just interested in buying property. We constantly use these events as good learning experiences which would help us to be proactive and improve upon them in the future”, says Mr. Najib Al Marhoon, Head – MARCOM, OITE.
