Oman and Saudi Arabia on Sunday signed an agreement for media cooperation between the two Gulf states.
The Omani news agency quoted the information minister of Oman, Hamad bin Mohammed al-Rashedi, who signed the agreement for Muscat, as saying that the accord was aimed at cementing distinctive ties binding Saudi Arabia and Oman.
Oman and Saudi Arabia exchange media expertise and visits by media officials. Saudi information minister Fuad al-Farsi, who co-signed the agreement, arrived in the country on Saturday to attend inauguration of the international forum for copy rights, due to open Monday, with participation of 28 states.
