A joint technical committee evaluating the viability of an electricity link between the Oman and the United Arab Emirates is also looking at the possibility of a 132KV link between the wilayat of Shinas and the power grid of the UAE Ministry of Electricity and Water, at the Khatmat Malalah border, Oman's Observer reported Saturday.
A Gulf newspaper reported that a proposal to this effect was presented by the UAE Ministry of Electricity and Water as part of a larger plan to link the networks of the two countries, said the paper -- Albawaba.com
