Sheikh Salim bin Hilal al Khalili, Oman's Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, has issued a ministerial decision endorsing a project to develop citrus. According to ONA, the decision identified the project goals to preserve a species Omani lemon, prepare it to resist diseases and to distribute lemon and citrus species planted in the Sultanate in order to curb the impact of pests and diseases inflicting them.
