One person died and two other were injured after ballistic missiles were fired from Yemen across to Saudi Arabia's capital, Riyadh, late Sunday.
Civil Defense spokesman in Riyadh Mohammed Al-Hammadi said Saudi air defense shot down seven ballistic missiles fired by Yemen's Houthi militia.
An Egyptian expat died from the ballistic missile debris, the first death in Riyadh since the country's military campaign was launched three years ago in Yemen.
"One of the shrapnel fell on a residential house resulting in the death of an expatriate and the wounding of two others, all of them of Egyptian nationality," the agency said.
