ALBAWABA - During Israeli forces' raid on the northern parts of the West Bank city of Jenin this Monday morning, a Palestinian woman sustained a serious injury, which was followed by Palestinians downing an Israeli drone, subsequently gaining control of it.
A troop of an estimated 40 military vehicles backed by a helicopter and drones today stormed the northern West Bank city of Jenin and its refugee camp and injured and arrested several people before withdrawing from the camp, according to local sources, WAFA News Agency reported.
Residents of the camp engaged in clashes with the Israeli forces resulting in injuring at least 4 Palestinians by army bullets, all of which count for light injuries. The forces also arrested three people, two of whom were shot and injured, before leaving the Jenin camp.
A video circulating on social media documented an occupation Israeli army helicopter landing near Jenin, following the withdrawal of troops from the city. Local sources said the Israeli forces used a suicide drone to target fighters during the clashes.
The operation was not planned far in advance and did not take place during the overnight hours as most raids do because the specific intelligence leading to the operation only came forward shortly before the operation, the Jerusalem Post reported.
According to local media reports, Israeli soldiers demolished a Palestinian-owned house in the village of Toura, west of the northern West Bank city of Jenin, today under the excuse of construction without a permit.
According to them, the soldiers attacked the village and proceeded to demolish the house owned by a local resident and located in Area C, which is under complete Israeli military rule and where Palestinians are not allowed to build or develop while settlers are established freely.
