An online brokerage, CSFBdirect-eUnion, has launched its online broking services in the Middle East which allows investors access to US equities, reported the Gulf News. The company, which claims to be the first online brokerage to open shop in the region, was earlier known as DLJdirect-eUnion.
Through its services, the investor will have access to advanced information and research tools and technology. "CSFBdirect-eUnion aims to rapidly become the leading online brokerage services provider and the source of financial information for investors in the Middle East and North Africa," said Ali Zahed, the company’s president.
“I feel that since public joint stock companies (PJSCs) listed on the local stock markets do not allow expatriates, who form the majority here, to participate in the company's capital, more and more expatriate investors are looking towards the US markets,” he told the paper – Albawaba.com
