In surprise testimony from Osama bin Laden's son-in-law during his terror trial, Sulaiman Abu Ghaith said he warned the al-Qaida leader the U.S. would kill him.

"America, if it was proven that you were the one who did this, will not settle until it accomplishes two things: to kill you and topple the state of Taliban," Abu Ghaith says he told the al-Qaida leader during a meeting the night of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Bin Laden told him he was being "pessimistic." Abu Ghaith testified that Bin Laden asked for his opinion and that was it.

Abu Ghaith said he was aware when he met Bin Laden about previous attacks he had perpetrated. His unplanned testimony has made him the most senior al-Qaida member to testify in the court.
