Students from Our Own High School, Al Warqa'a, a GEMS Education school, participated in a charity initiative to respond to the needs of laborers in Dubai.
The students launched the hugely successful 'A Meal Can Make a Difference' donation campaign as part of their Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, and collected over six tons of rice, lentils and pulses, which were distributed to three labour camps in Sonapur. Their dedication and benevolent efforts received sincere appreciation from the grateful laborers and saw the students surpass their initial aim to collect one ton of food.
