Algeria and Botswana must do more in order to expand direct cooperation, Algeria's outgoing ambassador to Botswana, Fatiha Selmane, told BOPA on Thursday.
According to the Algerian official, authorities from both sides should identify new areas of cooperation.
Selmane, who has been resident in Pretoria, said the relationship, however, must cascade to the civil society level. She said Algeria experts took part in the design of a state-of-the-art library at the University of Botswana. In the past, Algeria supplied Botswana with oil, she noted.
