General Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince and UAE Defence Minister has ordered the release of over 150 prisoners convicted in drugs cases. According to WAM, Ibrahim Bu Malha, Chairman of Dubai Justice Department and Public Prosecutor, said that Sheikh Mohammed's pardon would give the freed persons a new opportunity to lead a decent life and encourage them to interact positively with other sectors of the civil society.
