ALBAWABA - Double blasts were reported in Kabul, the capital of Pakistan, AFP reported Wednesday.

Taliban government spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid revealed in a statement to the media that an oil tanker and a generator had exploded, sparking a massive fire.

Ambulances were immediately dispatched to the scene of the explosions in the city centre, AFP correspondents said.

This comes amid the tension between Afghanistan's Taliban government and Pakistan on the border, with the two countries targeting each other.

A video was shared on social media showing a huge blaze in Kabul, with social media accounts saying that Pakistan is targeting the capital.

Tensions between Afghanistan and Pakistan have flared in recent days, with the two are exchanging gunfire, sparking concerns that a new war is about to start in the two Asian countries.
