Pakistan prime minister visits Iran

Pakistan's Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz leading a political and economic delegation arrived in Tehran Tuesday. On hand to welcome the Pakistani premier was Iranian Minister of Roads and Transportation Mohammad Rahmati.


Aziz is accompanied by the ministers of petroleum and natural
resources and narcotics control as well as the minister of state for
the interior.


During his visit, Aziz is due to hold talks with President Mohammad Khatami and First Vice-President Mohammad-Reza Aref, <i>IRNA</i> reported.

 

Bilateral economic and trade cooperation, regional issues and latest developments in Iraq, Afghanistan, Middle East and Kashmir are
among the issues expected to be reviewed. In addition, several cooperation agreements are expected to be signed by the two sides' officials.
