Palestinian Health Ministry reports highest figures since beginning of pandemic.

The Palestinian Health Ministry on Tuesday recorded 17 new COVID-19 fatalities and 1,946 cases during the past 24 hours.

This is the highest number of infections recorded in the Palestinian Authority since the beginning of the pandemic, according to Health Minister Mai Al-Kaila.

Al-Kaila said 14 deaths were recorded in the occupied West Bank, including six in East Jerusalem, three deaths in the blockaded Gaza Strip.


She added that 1,261 infections were recorded in the West Bank, including 135 in East Jerusalem, and 685 in the Gaza Strip.

Tuesday's figures pushed the total cases to 78,838, with 72,168 recoveries and 740 deaths.
