Palestinian Dies from Wounds Suffered in Gaza Clash Last Week

A Palestinian man who was shot in the head with a live Israeli bullet last week in the Gaza Strip died of his wounds on Sunday, hospital officials said. 

Assad al-Shagnubi, 20, was shot during clashes near the Karni crossing between the Gaza Strip and Israel on November 20, they said. 

His death brings to 283 the number of people killed in more than eight weeks of Israeli-Palestinian violence. 

Karni was the scene of clashes again on Sunday, with some four people injured two of them seriously. Another 10 people were wounded near Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip -- GAZA CITY (AFP)
