Palestinian Finance Minister Hails Saudi Position

Palestinian Finance Minister Mohammed Zahdi Al-Nashashibi hailed on Tuesday recent remarks made by Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah linking U.S. interests with the Mideast crisis, according to Kuwait News Agency. 

 

The Palestinian Minister described the Crown Prince’s remarks as a major change in the Arabs’ position. He also praised the European Community’s supportive position of the Palestinian Authority stating that, “This great power in the world has clearly become aware of the hostile nature of the Israeli aggression on our people”.  

 

Al-Nashashibi also extended appreciation for the recent decision made by the UAE to contribute 45 million Dollars to support the Palestinian Authority’s budget. Furthermore, the Saudi Kingdom granted, in the past two months 30 million Dollars to cover salaries of Palestinian Authority employees. (albawaba.com)
