The body of a 31-year-old Palestinian man was discovered Thursday north of Jerusalem, reported Israel Radio.
The victim's uncle identified the badly burned and partially decomposed body, said the Jerusalem Post newspaper.
Radio Israel said earlier that the corpse was believed to be that of a Jewish settler who went missing Wednesday.
The body was found between the Jewish settlement of Givon and the village of A-Dik north of Jerusalem, said the report.
Yossi Alfasi, a Jewish settler from Rishon Letzion settlement, went missing after meeting with a Palestinian building contractor at the Jewish settlement of Ginot Shomron.
Israeli security forces are carrying out a manhunt to search for the missing settler.
The contractor was building a house for Alfasi, said the radio.
Two Palestinians employed by the contractor were arrested by the police on suspicion of involvement in Alfasi's disappearance – Albawaba.com
